The Thought Of My Husband Stealing My Money Has Ruined My Marriage

My husband lost his job last year November and has been trying to get a new one. The problem started on March when my money started getting missing from the money l keep in the house. At first I ignored it because it’s only me and my husband and our little 6 years old boy who live in the house. So by May another one went missing l asked my husband about it he laughed and asked me why l was asking him that kind of question?

l then rained insults on him telling him to bring out the money he stole from me. My husband is the silent type he never said anything and went to the room to sleep. Last month, l kept a huge sum of money again, which was money given to me by a women meeting. I came one afternoon to get the money. l didn’t see any of the money. l called my husband and ask him where he was.

He told me he was at a friend’s house. I told him to rush home which he did. l asked him about the money. He laughed again and l got angry and rained insults on him. I said a lot of bad things to him that day but he just told me we’ll talk when l calm down and he left the house. Fast forward to the evening, my husband came back and showed me a CCTV footage of our house. l asked him so we have a CCTV and he told me he just bought it last month.

It happens that it was not him stealing the money and it was my younger sister. She lived with us in the past and knows where we hide our keys. She comes when we are not around and takes the money. The main problem now is that, a month ago, my husband said l should leave his house. He said he needed to think and he needs peace of mind. I agreed and went to stay with my mother.

l called him one night and asked what the problem is as he was acting cold towards me. He said he can’t live with a woman who doesn’t trust him. Went on to say that the last 8 months have shown him who l truly am. Looking back in the last 8 months l treated him badly. What I’m asking is if there’s still a way to save my marriage. Because with the way he sounds, he wants a divorce.
